Sweden's highest mountain station is more than just a cabin - it's a time portal to the past. Welcome to a place where you can experience wild, free mountains, dancing northern lights and sparkling snow.

If you are traveling in the bandwagon, the ticket is valid for a return trip on the same day. If you are staying overnight at Låktatjåkko mountain station, you will need to buy a new ticket for the downhill route departing at 12:30.

NOTE! Please note that the facility is cashless from now on. Mobile coverage and network in the mountains is limited and so also at Låktatjåkko Mountain Station. We therefore recommend that you bring your bank card for payment as Swish does not work optimally up here. Thank you for your understanding!

Step into history. Our rooms are simple, rustic and filled with the unique smell of old wood and mountain adventure. There are no unnecessary distractions - just a cozy atmosphere and classic beds that promise deep, restful sleep.

Your overnight stay includes a two-course dinner where the staff will share anecdotes and stories from the past. In the morning, a generous mountain breakfast is served to recharge your batteries for the day.

PLEASE NOTE! Bed linen is not included in the accommodation due to limited laundry facilities. We recommend that you bring your own bed linen or book this at the reception at Hotell Fjället and bring it with you to the mountain station.

However, after a trip out on touring skis, our goulash soup tends to be your best friend, where the spices and the hot soup warm you up from the inside out.

But the evenings offer even more for those staying overnight. A well-prepared two-course dinner is served, featuring connections to the local area and the wild – just like the place we are in. A cozy break from everyday life, where every bite tells a story.

For those who want to enjoy refreshments and good company, the bar is simple, yet well-stocked. Cold and hot, invigorating drinks are served here. At Låktatjåkko mountain station, reception is often poor, which gives you the freedom to relax with a good book, a game of chess, or simply appreciate the tranquility and the grandeur of nature.

With the mountain peaks sparkling and snow-covered all around you, there are endless opportunities for adventure and breathtaking experiences. Feel free to ask our staff for tips on card games or where you can see the most beautiful sunset.

Sit back, enjoy the magnificent views and feel the history - this is the method of transportation that gives you comfortable freedom. The bandwagon departs from Björkliden at 10:00. The return trip from Låktatjåkko to Björkliden departs at 12:30.
